Beach balls are great for kids or anybody who just wants to play a fun casual game at the beach or pool. Since they are lightweight and easy to bring along, they can make a day at the beach turn into fun and games within seconds of blowing it up. They are especially good for kids because they do not move fast in the air and it does not hurt to have one smack into you.

But take your average beach ball and multiply it five times, and you have got something entirely different. A giant beach ball can come up to ten feet in diameter, and they are truly something to see. You may have seen one of these at a concert or sporting event, and they are impossible to miss because you can see them from across a stadium

A giant inflatable ball is not that easy to find, but you can get them online or from specialty stores. Due to the extremely large size, you will need an air pump to blow it up, unless you want to sit there huffing and puffing. This is not advised! You want to save all your energy to have fun once it is all pumped up.

You can also get inflatable balls in smaller sizes that are a bit more practical and every bit as fun. There are three to five foot beach balls that are a good size to play volleyball with. These will make your game fun and less serious, because it is a lot easier to hit an inflatable beach ball than a regular volleyball. It floats through the air a lot more slowly, giving you more time to get to it.
